    BP - 135x5, 185x3, 225x2, 255x3x2
    HLR - 3x10
    PR - 45x5, 65x5, 85x5, 105x3, 125x2, 140x3x2
    TKE - 3x15

Just wanted to get a little bit of work in today to stay fresh. Have last SQ and BP realization day tomorrow or Saturday and then work up to openers in the next workout before tapering off for Saturday, 12 July. Golfed yesterday and playing again tomorrow. Shouldn't be doing this but fulfilling some obligations to friends. Shouldn't be a problem other than just a little soreness in elbows.

No, not really. I'm hoping that my recovery will catch up with me in next few days. Doing heavy'ish SQ's tomorrow but really low volume and then doing openers on Tuesday. Complete taper from that point. I think I will get there in time for meet.

    SQ - 45x5, 135x5, 225x2, 275x2, 315x2, 365x1, 385x1, 335x1

Terrible workout today. Felt creaky all over - upper body, back, knees. Not going to worry about it as just have to trust I will be in much better shape in a week. Plan to hit openers on SQ and BP and last warm-up on DL on Monday but will see how I feel. From there on out it is just recovery.

    SQ - 45x5, 135x5, 225x2, 275x2, 315x2, 265x1, 405x1, 445x0 (wraps), 445x1 (wraps)
    BP - 35x5, 135x5, 185x3, 225x2, 265x1, 295x1
    DL - 135x5, 225x3, 315x2, 365x1, 405x1

The most positive thing I can say about today's workout is that it sucked less than Saturday's. Plan was to work up to openers on SQ and BP and last warmup on DL with a few back-off sets.

On the SQ, I did something I have never done before on my first 445 attempt. I sat down into the SQ and simply quit. I mean I was dumping the bar on the rails before I even made an attempt to come up out of the hole. Complete mental weakness so loaded the bar and did it again. Used competition wraps and got the second try but was not that easy for an "opener." However, the weight did not feel like it was crushing me like it did on Saturday so thing recovery is coming around and who knows how I'll feel by meet on Sat.

The BP is probably the lift that is going best relative to setting a new PR. The 295 was with press command at the bottom and was pretty easy. This will be my opener and then I will probably go 305 and then 315.

DL didn't feel bad but, of course, this was just up to last warm-up. Plan to open at 450.

I bagged all my back-off sets today. Will be in bed by 9:00 p.m. every night this week and try to get recovered for a good performance on Saturday despite my current lack of confidence.

I have found that 1 week out, my lifts suck, because of accumulated fatigue. The taper makes it go away and contest days are fine. Trust your training!

Thanks. Clearly, this is what I'm hoping is the case this week. I will need to get my mental attitude together on Saturday. Easy warm-ups will get me in proper frame of mind.

Where is your meet? If it's not too far away I might check it out and cheer you on. You're going to crush it.
