    Pin BP - 285x1, 315x1, 295x3, 285x4, 275x2x4

    SQ's did not happen on Wednesday for variety of reasons - all good - like daughter getting home from college, beautiful day out, family time, etc. Had to back off planned weights just a bit today but got some work in. Now, I just need three or four weeks of uninterrupted training to get back to where I might be ready to test some heavy weights.

    Sore from yesterday's squats so just got in to do some accessory work. All good and felt good to do this type of work for first time in a while.

    Not sure if the way I have bastardized my programming over past week has been the right way to go or not. After being out for a couple of weeks, I'm trying to get on track and try to get a couple of weeks of good training in - without wrecking - myself and see if I can test some PR's right before Christmas. It will be tight but I'm gone the first three weeks of January so going to try. Today was fine. Traps and back were a bit tight so didn't go super heavy on DL's. Plan will be to try 475x1, 440x4x4 on next DL workout and see how that goes.

    RDL - 275x3x6
    PR - 135x3x4

    Good day on the bench. Triceps were still sore today from the CGB/LTE volume work earlier this week so wasn't sure what to expect. The 295 pretty much flew up. The 315 was not pretty - I didn't stay tight and got a little cock-eyed on the press - but was not close to a grind and solid pause at bottom. I think I could be ready for 330 to 335 in a couple of weeks.

    Were you able to get registered for a meet in Lexington or are you just going to do a mock meet?

    With being out sick for a couple of weeks, it turned out to be a moot point. What I'm planning on now is to do a mock meet at my gym on Weds. 23 December depending on training goes the next couple of week. Not sure that my SQ will be all that impressive by then, but there is a good chance I could BP and DL something at or above my current PR.

    My seeming inability to sustain progress continues. SQ's still feel heavy. On second rep of BB shrug, I pulled something in my left rib cage. I don't think it is too serious, but shut down the work and we'll see in the morning.
