Working through the unavoidable DOMS that goes hand in hand with coming back from 2 month layoff. In addition to the gym, lots of work in the yard and around the house. SQ's on Monday should be interesting. Might be some additional pride swallowing..

It's unavoidable but once you get past the initial shock of soreness the strength will come back fast.

Was scheduled to train yesterday but had chance to do four hours of dual-sport riding with a buddy. Included 5 creek crossings and a couple of mile of really gnarly rocks and, no, the bike did not stay upright. Came home with knocked right knee and really sore left rhomboid/trap.
But, didn't bother me in gym today. So, as Bryan said, patient and systematic.
