Hey Guys, I felt like starting a new log.
I just finished a training cycle programmed by Dr. Gainz and walked away with some rep records, gym records and a couple of close misses at all time PRs. In the past 8 weeks Squat gainz included rep records of 515x5@9 and 545x3@9, a gym record of 600x1@9.5, and a close miss at 620. Deadlifts had similar gainz with new rep records of 575x5@9 and 605x3@9.5, a gym record of 650x1@9 and a close miss at 700. Bench has been struggling due to distal bicep tendonitis.
Stats
Best Lifts
Squat: 606
Bench: 369
Deadlift: 683
Press: 285
Snatch: 140
Clean and Jerk: 184
Power Clean: 375
Power Snatch: 280
Height: 6'1
Bodyweight: 260
From about now until spring I'm primarily going to be focusing on the power lifts. For the next 2 weeks I'm taking it easy coming off that last cycle with a GPP block. Also back has been feeling a little tweaky after the miss with 700 so I've been extra cautious these last two sessions.

I'm looking forward to more PRs.
Do you have your next contest picked out and Is Dr Gainz still doing your programming?
It is about time you started logging again, Nick. Looking forward to following along.
Woohoo Nick D-train! I get my hopes up but then you crush them when you abruptly stop logging.
Awesome, those are some real nahce rep PRs. Also looking forward to following along, and continuing to heckle you about this until next year's conference:
Bench: 369
Great to see you back. I look forward to your progress.
Thanks Adam!
Thanks Tom. I don't have a meet currently picked out but I planning on competing in Powerlifting by spring. Dr. Gainz is still doing my programming.
Thanks buddy. I knew deep down I needed to start it up again.
HA! This log is going to be a keeper at least until I start PT school and hopefully much longer. Wish I could train with you and John this week but I unfortunately have a family friends wedding. Hope both of you crush it!
Keep the heckling coming... hopefully it will help.
Thanks Walter!

High Bar Squats: 255x11@6, 275x11@7, 295x11x2@8
Press 1.0: 135x11@6, 145x11@7, 155x11@7.5, 165x11@8, 170x11@9
Lying Tri Ext and BB Curl superset: 65x11@6, 80x11@7, 95x11x2@8
notes: I ended up modifying this training session from the plan just to work around some nagging issues. I figure because it's a GPP block I have little leeway to have some random fun. High bar squats for 11 reps feel awful. Actually I have to try to explain to Jordan that just the act of completing 11 reps, independent of the exercise or weight used, elicits an RPE 8 response from my body. Was supposed to do 4 sets at 295 but everything started to cramp up and I could tell I was going to be sore as shit tomorrow so I shut it down at 2. Also the Press became an impromptu competition with a friend of mine at the gym who was doing 7's. We actually had a lot of fun. The 170 secured the win. I replaced dips with the arm work. I actually like dips but the exercise seems to always accompany some unwanted shoulder pain the following day so I decided against it.

Deadlift: 405x6@7, 425x6x2@8
3ct Pause Bench: 185x11@7, 200x11x4@8
Felt real beat up this morning. I was exceptionally sore from the high bar squats and had to rush through this to make a wedding. Deadlifts felt real uncomfortable so I just stayed light. I feel like me doing 11 reps is similar to what graft-versus-host disease must feel like.
