Thanks guys. I hope the psychological mind-f*ck of 400 is finally behind me now. I want 200 kg now, badly. But 405 is what I've gotta focus on for now.

What's your goal with them? Are you trying to increase your power production or just include a lighter pull?

All those things, to some degree. But to be honest, I just want to have a respectable power clean. Womp womp.

Nice job on 400. Shockingly, your third rep looked by far the best even though the first two looked as though another rep would not be possible at all. I find it odd that you have squatted 380x5 but are not doing 425-435 for singles.

Yeah, it's honestly a bit embarrassing, but the tape is clear: it took me 2 tries to manage to keep my torso rigid, and 3 tries to stay in my damn hips.

You are absolutely correct that this is odd. I'm a slow twitcher. Rip's recent article about dealing with the typically much-worse ability of women to contract motor units quickly largely applies to me as well. In fact, my SVJ is definitely closer to the women's mean and median than it is to the men's. Figuring out how to program myself accordingly in light of these factors is always a challenge. Also, this somewhat explains the power clean issues alluded to above.

I once read there's a correlation between back hair and IQ for men. I'm not challenging Gilchrest to a game of chess anytime soon.
