Nice PR! 2nd rep of that final set looked even easier than the first. Funny how that tends to happen on deadlifts.

    Yeah thanks, it's psychology mostly.

    Thursday is 8 sept 2016

    HRV go ahead
( dog had surgery this week and I had a crazey work schedule.)

    Session 1
Squat 45x10,135x5,225x3,315x2,405x1 add sleeves and belt
467.5x2x2 pr 467.5 X1. Fail second rep halfway up..445x1 to get a solid rep.
didn't see the fail coming coming, a focus failure, I can't take it for granted it will go up if I don't keep trying to accelerate. It's real weight not helium, just because I make it out of the hole it ain't over.

Squat overload walk out and 10 second holds
    575x3

    Cat bench and deadlift later.

    Session 1
    Bench press
    225x1,245x1,275x1,260x2,245x2x2
Meh , not real confident I got anything out of this cycle on bench But made in a healthy state and I can build the bench later, I am healthy So there is that.

    CAT squat 395x2x5
Good speed and set up practice. Was hitting a very nice stretch reflex and found acceptable acceleration throughout the concentric.

    Deadlift in a bit.

Note, I am real happy the way my squat and deadlift have responded. I am just not strong enough on bench to benefit from this as written yet , it probably needs something like the deadlift cycle for volume rather than the speed work until I get well north of 300, the lack of volume hurt me here. My squats seem to respond well to 80% acceleration work and the lower volume on the other hand, it is probably a function of load or carry over from all of the deadlift volume helping me out.

In future try's I may try doing press on deadlift day following the bench protocol and then bench on bench day but follow the deadlift protocol for that. I think I need the volume and frequency from alternating pressing.

    Session two

    Deadlift
    135x5,225x3,315x1,405x1
    465x1
    530x1
    505x2
    480x2
Was supposed to get three sets made a fatigue call, no need to risk injury. Being tired don't get me hurt, making a mistake because I am tired does.

Last time to deadlift until the meet in 12 days.

    Bench overload
    335x3 sets

Thanks, but I was not going to fail it. That double was tougher than I wanted it to be but I was fatiguing faster than normal. I have been eating plenty and drinking a ton of water yet my back and ab muscles are cramping in bed etc.. There has Definitely been more cumulative deadlift work than I have ever done before. On the bright side, although I am carrying fatigue I am displaying increased strength. Looking forward to seeing if there is a measurable difference when the fatigue is dissipated.
