    Saunday 12/14/14
    Test day
    Trac
    Good to go.
    Morning BW 222

Today I had one primary accomplishment in mind

Comp Squat Belt and knee skeeves
    485x1 PR+10 with sleeves Marginal depth.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-gt...ature=youtu.be
500x1 PR!!! A literal vision bluring grind, The grind of my year.. I was unwilling to fail. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVsu...ature=youtu.be
I took a break and ate a ham sandwich while waiting for normal vision to return. It was as if I was wearing dirty eyeglasses. But damnit, I squatted 500 Pounds this year. I paid for this later when I thought I would deadlift..

    Bench Press Comp Pause
    290x1 10# PR( over last cycle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ERW...ature=youtu.be
295x1 15#PR!!!! I am proud of this PR The bench is progressing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PB8c...ature=youtu.be The way It went up I was pretty certain 300 was mine.
300x Fail...so F###close!! failed at midpoint..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGjJ...ature=youtu.be I was a little dissapointed but kept a sense of humor about it.
You can learn alot from failure and how it reveals a weakness, so this is a blessing.

300 happen likely be done as a matter of course on the next training cycle.

Deadlift, I warmed up to 470 And then I was unable to express a maximal effort today. With the max effort Squat and a back tweak I have been ignoring for the past 2 or 3 weeks I didnt have the will or the pain tolerance to pull 520 wich was just a 10# jump from an easy 510 I did last cycle.

I dont think I got weaker in the deadlift with the work I did and the increase to my squat. .. I think I am learning something about how a big PR on one lift can sap another and this will be helpfull for attempt selection during meets.
I could have waited a day or two to test the deadlift but I wanted to try to simulate the stresses of a meet with all lifts in a 3 hour window. ..I will assume I still have a 510 deadlift for the next training cycle and work on a little rehab and work capacity.

Review of my training progress this year is to come.

Thanks Oldman! I fixed the 295 bench video. It was faster than 290.

Thanks Walter. 55 pounds added squat in two training cycles! I will break it down for my end of year training review. I think squatting and pressing more definitely make me squat and press more.

Way to stick with it and conquer that squat! If that had been a meet you would have totally nailed the Deadlift. You were squatting two days prior to the test and up in the 400s four days prior! Woah

Awesome job on that squat PR. It's easier to swallow a fail like this when you've just gotten that great accomplishment. Not to mention you already got two PR's immediately before that.

You'll definitely get 300 soon. It's not often a bench fails right there. Looked like it was in the groove too. You'd never pick 290, 295, 300 as your meet attempts anyway. If you had done 265, 285, 300, you probably would have gotten it.

    Awesome work.
