Rob, this whole training week was barely passable for plenty of reasons! The good news is I got some stuff done, I had some great fun, and work went really well too.

    8/24/14
    Conditioning only
    Sprints 30/1:30 X9

Not in a gym, not on a machine, actual running in the great outdoors of humid GA.

10 min planks and push ups

Next day- I hate this. I want to give up now. Jordan might be the meanest person in the world.

And then I regain my sanity for a little while.

Then it starts all over again.
Ha Ha! I gotta laugh at that one. I can relate to the yo yo of emotions

It's damn admirable how you stay on track during your work trips. It's an inspiration to lifters to keep with their plans!

Yeah! Thanks. I just "love" the roller coaster. It's forcing me to work through a bunch of my own things...you know my perception of myself, progress, perspective, yada, yada. It's all very good.

Thank you! This ranked up there as one of the toughest travel/training weeks. But I'm happy with what I got done.

    8/25/14
    Conditioning
    Row sprints 20/1:40 x8
    10 min abs-ab roller

    It's 7:30, and I'm going to bed!

Soooo, I kind of messed up on my RPEs today. Oops!

    Squat
260x4 @7 all was good, I was bound and determined to have a really good squat day after too many not-so-great ones
280x4 @9 those were really tough, oops! I definitely let my ego get in the way on this one.
    270x4x2

    Competition Bench
    130x4
    135x4
142x3 Dang it! I need to be a better bencher!!
    135x4
    130x4

    1 sec paused bench
    115x4
    120x4
    125x4
    120x4

And then we had the first night of barbell club so I was running all over trying to teach way too many (but super eager) people the LBBS. It was great fun, and I have a new class full of people eager to get stronger.

Thanks! My bench was better tonight.

    Acc week 3 day 2

    Deadlift
    260x4 @7
    280x4 @8
290x2, 290x2 What's up with that? Well my super lame-o excuse is that I had my belt too high and I could barely breath. I made the mistake of standing up to reset for rep 3 and couldn't pull it off the floor. I sat down, thought about what to do next, but decided I just needed to finish the 290.

    LBBS, TUBOW, no belt
I kind of hate this, so it's probably good for me.

I'm not really sure what I was supposed to do here, but I was so tired and hungry by this point so I just got some work done.

And I finally sent in my forms for USPA Worlds in Nov.

That's so cool that you're competing at USPA Worlds in November. My gym friend Sara Bohlen will be there too. You guys might be in the same weight class. Are you competing in open or masters?

I'll be in the Open this year. You should take a trip to Vegas. :-)

I'm thinking about it... I'm competing in October so it'll probably be too a soon but maybe I can go to watch.
