    It's almost show time!!!

I wish you calm and serenity during the process to make weight.

You are going to rock it on the platform!! NO DOUBT!

Thank you! I really appreciate the support!

I will make it, because I am following the plan to a T and Jordan knows what he's doing. Now I just can't wait to weigh in and get that first squat. :-)

Well, I made it! I weighed in on Sat morning at 62.9kg.

There were some stressful moments for me the day before. I left my house for the venue at 139.2. Then at the site, things were kind of chaotic, so it took plenty of time to actually weigh in, and while I always cut it close, this was sure sweet, sweet success this time.

I ended up happy to be in flight A this time because I was SUPER ready to lift. I'm finally getting calmer in the warm up room, and my handler is more assertive about slowing down my warm ups, so my warm ups worked better all day. I'm also becoming the assertive lifter who just starts organizing work around a bar. Me, bossy?? No! (Although I did let one guy know that since he wasn't lifting for hours, he really needed to give the space to the people lifting in 15 min...) But my flight did have a lot of young, new lifters, and I guess maybe I'm becoming the veteran now?? I might have been told a couple of times that someone hopes to lift like me when they grow up. Ack! I am officially the old lady lifter, even though they kept assuring me that I didn't look like a Master. :-)

    Squats
    135/145 (meet PR)/150*miss

    Bench
    70/80 (meet PR)/85*miss

    Deadlift
    142.5/152.5 (ties meet PR)/157.5*miss

    Total 820 PR

All of the attempts I made felt great. I had no doubt about any of them at all. I was confident heading into each 3rd attempt too, but I knew that each of them would be tough, possibly very tough. I thought I'd be able to get them though. I could not. :-) It's never fun to miss, but I'm still very happy with the whole meet. My first goal was to make weight and qualify for Nationals, after that I wanted to get some meet PRs.

I was able to take the CA squat and total records. I also took all of the M1 138 records since they were totally open.

I had a great time lifting, felt more confident on the platform than I ever have before, and I just had a good time with the other lifters. It was a fairly chaotic meet at times, but everyone pulled through, and so many people were just busting their butts all day long. We started at 6:30am with check ins and awards finished at 10:30pm.
