My poor neglected log! I wasn't able to find any place to lift weight in Paris, so I simply enjoyed the city, jogged around the Latin Quarter plenty, and did some BW circuits in my apt. Then last week was a tough week back in the gym-everything felt heavy, I was sick a couple of days, and jet lag as definitely a thing. I managed to get all my training in except a couple of GPP things, but we'll just move on to this week.

Glad to hear you had a good time in Paris. Just give it a little time and you'll be back on track.

Thanks! Coming back is a little tough, but I am crossing my fingers for a decent DL session today. Nothing extraordinary, just good will make me happy.

I know. It was both awful and wonderful. I mean, if I need to jog, doing it along the Seine is one of the best places to do it.

    Day 2

    Deadlifts
    330x1 @8.5
286x5x4 at RPE "why are DLs so hard?"

Deadlifts, the lift that can make me want to cry and give up. But I neither cried nor gave up today.

    132x4 @7
    139x4@8

    176x8x4
(That wonderful feeling when you messed up all of last week's training, but tried to squeeze everything in so you just did Tempo RDLs a couple of days ago.)

BUT even though I was doing Tempo RDLs, it was a great moment in my gym-a lifter doing rack pulls on one side of me, one doing paused DLs on the other side, and 10 people arriving to do squats. SO MUCH good lifting.

I did the first 2 lifts outside in the sun. Glorious. The CFers were kind of jealous of the Muscle Beach thing we had going today.

Hahaha, he just asked me when you are coming down. I reminded him that we need bars...
