    FEB 21

    Intensity Day

    BS: 150KG+10#X3X2@ 9.5, 10; 110KGX5
    BP: 110KGX5@ 9.5; 70KGX5X2
    DL: 180KG+25#X1X3
    AMBW 185.2
    TGT: 1:17

Good day. Made numbers and I feel like all 3 are good to advance next week.

Came forward on the toes after the 2nd rep of the 1st squat set- not sure why.

    24 FEB

    BS: 130KGX5X6: 9, 9, 9, 9.5, 9, 9.5
    BP: 80KG+30#: 8, 8, 7.5, 7.5, 7.5, 7.5
    DL: 160KG+20X5X2: (:41)(:41)
    TGT: 1:52
    AMBW: 186.0

Good day. Rest periods ran a little too long (short focus), and the gym is a cozy 60 degrees... but good day. Nothing funny to be seen, either, besides one of the guys doing air half squats on the flat side of a bosu ball. Meh. I've seen worse.

Using MyFitnessPal to track dietary intake... I've only been using it for 3 days, but it's miles ahead of what I've tried before (namely, pen-and-paper). Definitely sticking with it.

    26 FEB

    Recovery Day

    BS: 225#X2X10 E2MO2M
    Press: 135#X3X10
    Chinups: 5X6

Done in the home gym again (Virginia's going through snowpocalypse again). The shoulder felt good during presses and chinups, so the issue might be pretty much resolved.

Now if only this snow will stop so I can make the New York Squat Camp...

    Intensity Day

    BS: 150KG+15#X3X2@10, 10
    BP: 110KG+7.5#X5@10
    DL: 180KG+30#X1X3

The squats and bench were come-to-Jesus reps, but they went up. Strangely enough, this basic TM setup is running almost exactly like the model progression in Practical Programming. For instances, the 2X3 set lasted exactly 2 weeks before becoming overwhelming. This is pretty encouraging in its own way, especially when some of these sets almost make me black out (fun!)

Currently in New York (about a 7 hour drive- exciting!) waiting for the squat camp with John and Nick tomorrow- drive or no drive, I'm stoked as hell!

    Squat Camp

    BS: 5@315, 295, 295

The seminar was excellent. John and Nick really knew their stuff (no surprise there), and highlighted my mistakes in real-time to where I could 'get it.' Their four comments were:
On some reps, the knee wasn't tracking far enough (or at the same time as the hips)
As the weight got heavier, starting to slack at the bottom
Started soft- need to get to a solid position, totally locked out
    Stance a touch wide

Always more work to be done. The first two were the same things Stef picked up on during the seminar (no surprise), but they've gotten better. The second two need more work.

I brought down the weight after the first set to really drive the technique. The first two work sets just needed mild tweaks... then the second rep of the 3rd set went totally wonky. Luckily, Henry got that video, so I can reference it for future corrections.

    MAR 3

    Volume Day

    BS: 130KG+5X5X5: 8.5, 9, 9, 8.5, 9
    BP: 80KG+35#X5X5: 8.5, 9, 9.5, 9, 9.5
    DL: 160KG+25#X5: (:42)
    TGT: 184.8

4th set of squats felt the best: locked in at the start, slightly narrower stance, good depth, only came forward on the toes one rep. Now to replicate.
Worn out by the end- probably combination of long drive yesterday and extra squats from the camp. Called it at 1 DL set and no chins.

    4 MAR

    90 minute water polo game.

I am not good at water polo. Water polo is exhausting. My eyes are burning so bad I can't see very well. I loved every second of it. The end.
