Thanks Josiah! I'm alive for sure.

Triceps were super fried from LTEs today... havent done any sort of triceps bro work in a while and it hindered my bench and press today. No biggie. Still got good work in. Controlling my ego on 2 count pause squats. They are obnoxious 2 Mississippi counts and they suck. Been working on squatting more with my knees forward while low barring and I must say it feels nice and vertical and balanced.

Dana I am training at home, but after last nights shitty session noted above. I will be switching to a local globo that is super lifter friendly. And yes I will be at the battle. I am getting certified as a SC USAPL state ref this weekend at the SC state meet. So Hopefully I ama lifter at the battle.

Been absent for a bit with training. But friday and saturday I helped out at the SC USAPL state meet. Sat for my referee test with Jenniffer Thompson, David Goodwin, and Donnie Bigham. Really cool to learn from two WORLD level lifters like jenn and donnie. Saw Keith machoney total damn near 10x bw at about 140something lbs bw. Watched the absolute LEGEND Dan Austin compete "casually" with a pulled hammy he opened his squat at like 550. CRAZY. Watched an 8 year old girl named peyton compete like she had been doing it for years. She was super composed and had amazing technique and strength. Her mom was also a stud.

This was South Carolina's biggest state meet ever. Two platforms, started at 8 with check in/weigh ins. First lift at 10 sharp finished last AWARD at 5:30. COME AT US.

I sometimes question why I like powerlifting. Then I lift at a meet, or help at one and I just love this sport. Especially our Carolina's USAPL organizations. Great people. Ready to train for my March meet!

    141215
    Squat: 285x8x3 (no belt)
    Dead: 345x5x3 (no belt)
Pullups: 8 singles (30 sec rest)
    Tuck Ups: 3x10

Not fun. No belt, havent trained consistently in awhile. Had every excuse to cut stuff short but just did the work. I need to retrain my brain. Since my meet in March ive had the worst attitude and effort. From now on when I have a shit meet, I am signing up for the very next one I can do. Did the work. Shaved weight off the bar on both movements to control my ego. The goal is solid steady progression from here to march.

    Awwww thanks Meletor.

    141216 BW: 245
Pause Bench: 175x8x4 (with new wide ass grip)
    CGBP: 155x8, 165x8, 175x8@9
    OHP: 65x8, 75x8, 95x8@7.5
    Pullups: 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1 (on the 30 sec)
    BB Curls: 45x12x3

Naice. Was moving nicely and again my ego has made me shave weights off movements for sake of improving quality. Pauses were real deal USAPL pause with a ring finger on ring grip). So I think I found the culprit of my wrist pain. CGBP... so I widened that to JUST under shoulders instead of inside shoulders. It helped a little. By OHP triceps were done, so i fatigued super fast but still worked my baby shoulders a little.

    Squat: 300x6x4
    Dead: 365x1x3

    High Plank: :30, :35. :40

Fun day outer hip/high ham kinda barked at me during deads so I lowered the volume a bit. Everything else was cool. Just need to focus a bit on my mobility the night before as I usually get good carry over.
