    Okay. So I talked to Sean midday and we agreed it made sense to take a day before my day 4 as I should pull fresh and try to PR my other comp lift E1RMs. So I trained today.

    Big pin squat PR, I hit 150kg (330) x4@8 last week and this week added 15kg for 165x4@9. Hoping to push my pin squat E1RM to ~200kg since I know its got a ton of carryover.

    3ct pause bench was iffy. I did pin press yesterday, but 100kg felt pretty smooth (@7ish) and yet that jump to 105kg took me to @9.5. So I made up the missing set at the end, nbd. Just trying to equate for volume. Same issue w incline bench, just got a lil too aggressive on the first set. Oh well.

    Rest tomorrow, then Friday is...

    Fuuuuck this bench downturn. Gimme my PRs. I drank 2 liters of water, walked to work and it took another 1.5 liters + a 20oz gatorade before I needed to pee. Could not stay hydrated in this heat/humidity today. I'll blame that.

    Happy with the squat single. I think I'm going to take a PR next week, shoot for 192.5kg.

    My training partner Alex Lau has 6 week training blocks that culminate in basically mock meets. He hit 1504 today as a 183. Thinking he'll potentially see 1540-1560 at Nationals. Super psyched for him.

    Thanks man! Squats are clicking after a few weeks of being stuck, so I'm really happy with that.

    Alex is a beautiful specimen whose progress cannot be contained.

    Hip shift on day one caused a TON of patellar ache in the right knee all week. Fucked up my total volume for the week. But even bench was pretty down. I think next week Sean's deloading me a bit anyway, so let's see. Only my day 1 comp squat really feels good rn.

    Yay PR squat. Felt good (Instagram) and not that much slower than last week's 185kg (407) so pretty happy. Going to try and push this weekly and hopefully touch 200kg a couple weeks before Nationals. Very minimal hip shift too, so I'm hoping to be able to pull and SSB this week without issue.

    Bench continues to be weird. Seems like the swapping accessories from feet up and midrange pins to close grip and close grip incline isn't carrying over as well.

    My understanding is next week Sean may deload me, then we'll change block structure to squat less frequently (3x over 2 days) to take it easy on my knee.

    Today marks 6 weeks out from my session at USAPL Raw Nationals. Arnold qualifier seems less likely but a PR total is definitely there so...there's that.

    Congrats on the squat PR.

    Kinda want to go to raw nats just to watch. Not sure it will be in the cards though.

    Would be awesome if you could make it. I'll be in Orlando all week so if you CAN make it, even if just the weekend let me know. My gym is sending a team of like...7 people.
