Squats and cleans felt great today. Changed my breathing and tempo on the squats today; only one breath between each rep instead o

Oh come on. Think of how much you save on haircuts and shampoo.
Interesting. Does "one breath" mean: inhale - squat - exhale - inhale - squat? Or is it: inhale - squat - exhale - inhale - exhale - inhale - squat?
I recently switched from the former to the latter, and I think I prefer it.

One breath means the former. I tried it because I felt like I was giving my 5x5 weights far more respect than they deserved. I would take "two breaths" (the latter) between each of the first four reps, and "three" breaths before the last one. My recent change resulted in a lot less time under the bar, less "thinking" (overthinking) about my form, and 5 incredibly fast and smooth reps.
I think I'm going to stick with it for a while, at least on the 5x5's and give it a try tomorrow on the 1x5. I felt a teeny bit more winded at the end of each set, but that was the only downside. I felt my "muscle memory" did a much better job of keeping my form consistent than my conscious thought process in a slower set.

Bench: 5x1x355
Press: 5x210
Dips: 3x15 (+10 lb.)
Bench started off slow, got faster on reps 3-5. Press felt great.
Friday, Jan. 16
Squat: 5x515
Deadlift: 5x475
No time for BB Rows. Squat felt good, stuck with my "one breath" here, took two before the 5th rep. Felt rather lightheaded and tingly coming out of that 5th rep, but it was fast. May go 5x520 instead of 5x525 next week. Deadlift was rushed, 5th rep slowed down a little, but still a fast pull.
