    Squat: 6x545

    BOOM. This was supposed to be a 5x545, a 10 lb. PR. However, I lost count of my reps after the fourth. Felt great besides the crap 2nd rep; I went down loose and had some knee cave I think at the bottom (look at my shoes). Reps 1, 3, and 4 were easy.

    Bench: 3x5x300
    Dips: 10,10,9,10 @ 320 (+70)

    Tuesday, June 16

    Halting Dead: 2x4x495

    Worst training day ever. Forgot to bring gym shorts. Tried squatting in cargo shorts. Split during warmup.

    Warmed up insufficiently for halting deadlifts (did my usual routine, and didn't think to account for the fact that I hadn't done my planned 3x5x405 squats). Also forgot to change out of my squat shoes. Was supposed to do 8x495, but everything sucked by rep 2. I assume I was a poster of what not to do on the deadlift.

    This pissed me off bad.

    The good news is I didn't realize that I was doing the deads in my squat shoes until I was going to bed. This probably had a lot to do with why it felt like I was squatting the damn bar off the ground. I usually pull in flats.

    Bench: 5x5x325
    Dips: 4x10x320 (+70)

    Boom, 5 lb. PR on the bench, and it was EASY. Looks like I finally got over whatever volume hump I was having; I think the dips have been helping tremendously. I failed 5x5x315 three times, finally got it on the fourth, struggled with 320, and destroyed 325. Yay.

    CGBP: 4x5x295
    Press: 2x8x185, 5x185

    CGBP felt amazing today. Could have thrown it through the roof. Ran out of shoulder gas on the press though, just quit my set after a grind of a 21st rep. Was supposed to be a 4x8, oh well.

    Friday, June 26

    Squat: 5x5x505

    Boom. So, unlike 5x5x500, I didn't feel like I was going to crap and puke myself this time. However, the reps were all hard and slow. Not a grind, but slow. I just didn't have my usual "pop". I really had to focus on staying tight and in position. Lots of yelling/grunting helped too. I'm very happy this is my last 5x5 for this cycle. Next volume squat day will be a 5x3x550 (maybe?). Yay!

    Bench felt amazing, wanted to go for a 1RM, but thought I'd be smart instead.

    Squat: 2x5x405
    Rack Pull: 1x495

    Ugh. I've been cleaning up my diet, and I got sick, and I slept like crap on Monday. Planned to pull 5x575 today on the Rack Pulls. Felt like complete crap during warmups (squat was fine). 495 was a slowww warmup, decided I'd just try to move the dirt and hit 5x545. Couldn't break it off the pins. F this.

    1RM Bench: 1x405 (+30 PR!!!!!)

    I wish I had a recording. Bench has been feeling great lately, I still felt kinda disappointed in Tuesday's workout, and 335 felt so easy on the CGBP, only a little slow on the 5th rep when my bar path went towards my feet a hair. Decided to get stupid, put 4 plates on the bar and see what happens. Nailed it. RPE 8. Screamed KING KONG a few times and kicked a chalk bucket over. Rawr.
