Hey guys. Brand new to the site here.

    About Me

I'm Sean. Canadian, 28 years old. I served 5 years in the military, and enjoyed being in shape. I got into powerlifting around 2011. Did a lot of program hopping and became interested in Westside style training. I moved out to China in 2010, and so I was basically on my own when it comes to training. I bought starting strength and practical programming. as time passed life got in the way and I slowly stopped training. By 2013 I was out of the gym completely, and had gained a lot of weight (over 50 pounds).

    Today
With the support of my wife, I've left my busy job, and now I have time, and motivation to get back on the horse, and stay there. Right now I'm overweight and weak, but in the next 12-18 months, I would like to be competing in the IPF, or sooner, depending on when I can move back to Canada.

    BW: 116.5kg

Tested my maxes to get a sense of where I am after a very long absense from the gym.

    Starting 1RMs
    Paused Bench Press: 105kg
    HB squat: 125kg
    Sumo DL: 150kg

I'm going to be running the powerlifting to win program to start, making adjustments as I go based on weaknesses, and how things go.

Gym has a new rogue power bar which is really nice, but the knurling super deep. No chalk needed at all with this bar, but my shins, and palms took a beating.
