Thinking of taking some weight off the bar tomorrow for Volume Squats. I realized I've just been adding 5lbs/week as I progressed through 3's, 2's, 1's. I've not failed any reps but last week's 350x5x5 was a grind and killed my elbows. If I guess at my 5rm right now - 385? - Which may be a tad aggressive - 85% would be 330 and 90% would be 345. So I'm thinking of going with 340x5x5 tomorrow, 345x5x4 the following week, then some sort of reduced ramping volume the following week (9 days out from Meet). Happy to hear thoughts from anyone experienced in these matters.
