Yeah. I was never in a mental state of not wanting to train these last few months I just couldn't find the same excitement/drive to compete that I had over the summer. Definitely happy where I'm at considering that

    4/17/17

    Squat: 345x5x4
    Bench: [240, 245, 250, 255] x5
    CGBP: 215x6

Didn't have time for chins. But that was a lot of benching. Going for a Press PR Wednesday

    4/19/17

    Press: 202.5x1

    202.5x1 - YouTube

    DL: 450x2, 470x1(Gym PR)

    450x2 - YouTube

    470x1 - YouTube

Press was an uuuulllllttttttrrrraaaaaaa grind. Was pretty happy to hit a small PR here despite losing about 12 lbs since my last PR and not training the press super heavy lately.
450x2 went pretty fast so I was slightly surprised 470x1 was quite slow. I also think it was a bit of lack of focus. I think I could have gone up again but really didn't want to risk failing a DL this close to a Meet. Decided to just take the PR, finish this taper and get ready to pull big next weekend

    Christmas in the Gym Alert!!

    Squat: 425x1 (Gym PR)

    425x1 - YouTube

    Bench: 287.5x1 (Gym PR - Paused), 245x5

    287.5x1 - YouTube

Came in under recovered and not expecting much especially since I had to train 5hrs earlier than normal. The result however was the complete opposite. Took 395 and 415 for easy singles and then was deciding between 425 or 430. Judging by the vid I probably could have had 430 or 435. Felt really solid.
Bench - 275 went fast, then hit 282.5 which was also smooth so finished with a nice 287.5 PR.
So if I have a good day at the Meet I should be around 451/303/517 for a 1270-ish total. Would be pretty awesome if I could pull that off considering things have only really come together training-wise these last few weeks. Will work up to openers Monday. Off to Audit the SS Seminar in Brooklyn now!

I got sick over the weekend and couldn't train today. Pretty much the worst timing possible as I was supposed to work up to openers. Sigh

Sorry to hear you got sick, however, congrats on the Squat, bench and dead gym PR's. Looked like they moved well!

Thanks Jim. I feel better now and am hoping missing Monday won't affect too much.

    4/26/17

    Squat: 315x3x2
    Bench: 225x3x2
    DL: 315x3x2

Just got some light work in. Figured it was the best move considering the circumstances. Will do some even lighter work on Friday just to keep the blood pumping and then hope for a good day on the platform Sunday

Feel better Ryan and good luck this weekend. Just a quick question if you don't mind. You are a SSC already, so why did you audit the seminar?
