Great job Marc! I didnt realize you were competing at the South Africa meet. I was hoping for a livestream of it, but couldn't find one.
    Keep up your Strong Work!!

EDIT: I found a Youtube Channel with Livestreams and Videos... Emet Media EXTRA - YouTube

Thanks for the link Shug. This was a big event. Over 1500 lifters in total from all over the world competing at both Masters World's and British Commonwealth's. Despite being from a member of the commonwealth (Canada) I only competed at Masters.

There were two stages going at the same time and at least 10 Eleiko warm up stations. A little chaotic really with so many people and lifters.

I just watched all of your lifts, it's a shame that you werent able to call your own attempts, you obviously had more in the tank
on your Squats and Deadlifts. I also saw you were sharing the same platform with the famous Dave Ricks, that's pretty cool.
Again, great lifting my friend!! Enjoy Germany.

I talked quite a bit with Dave Ricks. That man is built for powerlifting! He said he has been competing for 40+ years now. He's quite modest too despite being one of the best ever. I asked what he does with all his medals and trophies and he says he keeps them in a box LOL.

    In Germany now

Despite having competed just a few days ago, I never felt tired or sore. I checked out the gym in the hotel and it's actually one of the better equipped hotel gyms I've seen. Decided to try it out.

Leg Press machine - worked up to 3 sets of 5 doing the full weight stack. Quite hard actually!

Bench press machine - 3x5 as well using the full stack - not as hard as the leg press

    Lat machine - 3x5 too

Did some other machine work, tricep push downs, face pulls etc, as well as dumbbell curls and OH press. Finished the workout with a treadmill session despite walking all day on a castle tour. Have to try to keep my weight down as I'm eating and drinking too much beer!

Should mention - drove the autobahn today - I've never driven this fast (legally) yet safe in my life before. Most people are very good drivers here and the cars are in good shape. This should be legal everywhere! That and being able to drink beer/alcohol everywhere with no issues yet haven't seen any public displays of drunkenness. North America is still backwards and freedom limiting in many ways

Got home yesterday - Good to be home!

Just did a light workout today and probably for the rest of the week. Not sure of my programming going forward. May try a few different things, probably more cardio.

    SSB Squat
    Bar-10
    155-7
225-5,5,5, - Left knee still quite sore - not sure why it won't heal.

    Bulgarian split squat
    BW-5,5,
    25DB-5,5,5,

    Bench
    Bar-10
    155-5
    225-5,5,5,

    Incline bench
    Bar-5
    155-5
    200-5,5,5,

    starting strength coach development program
Felt tired all week - probably still some jet lag and having to go to work right after getting home. Finally felt more rested today so did another light workout.

    Deadlift
    Bar-10
    155-5
    265-5
375-5 - Still have some fatigue. Normally a warm up weight this felt heavy.

    Close grip bench
    Bar-10
    155-5
    225-5
265-5,5,5, As with deadlifts this took more effort than normal

Did some light leg presses, leg curls and leg extensions too. My left knee is still messed up - painful and really noticable with the leg extensions. Very little strength in my left leg. Surprised I was able to squat half decently at my meet but 600mg of ibuprofin masked the pain..
