    Yes sir! It has been a very fun and rewarding experience.

    Nancy in particular ain't messing around. I always tell folks that I am not in the business of motivating people. I am in the business of coaching people on how to use barbells to get strong so that they may live their lives however they see fit. Nancy is in her 70s. She had a fall while working in the yard. Rather than lamenting and accepting the fact that she isn't as strong as she once was, she chose to do something about it. I have been training her for a month. She is the model client. She is fearless, shows up excited to train, and EATS protein. On day one, she was unable to perform a body weight squat. Her most recent workout was: Squat 30 lbs x 5 x 3, Bench 50 lbs x 3 x 5, Deadlift 95 lbs x 3 x 2.

    It is particularly rewarding to train Nancy because the most common runs that we make every shift at the firehouse are lift assists and falls. Multiple times per shift we go help older folks that are simply too weak to get up off of the ground/toilet and/or break bones when they fall.

    That's the kind of client that make it all worth it. I train a 16 yo girl that is about 5', just the other day she came all proud telling she'd just hit 110 lb and caught a glimpse of her delts popping on the mirror! You gotta see that girl squat, it looks like she's about to kill someone, doing triples with 160-170 lb.
