1. I married a beautiful and incredibly supportive woman who is also an amazing cook.
2. I go to bed early whenever possible, I don't work overtime shifts, and we use all of my vacation time every year.
3. I train consistently and take conservative jumps.
4. I am used to digging deep and doing hard things. I wrestled in high school and I was not a natural athlete in any sense of the word. I got my ass kicked a lot. After 4 years of perseverance, I was my school's first mens district champion. Which is not much of an accolade in the grand scheme of things, let alone athletics, but that accomplishment changed my life. I am now a firefighter. There is no better job in the world, and serving others has been a challenging, humbling, and rewarding experience. Adding a few more pounds to the bar is submaximal.
