    At times. It's obscure and overly specialized, but I'm not particularly good at any real sport nor am I really interested in them. It has objective standards to strive for and that makes it a little easier to compare. Plus, even though I'm no where near national records, there are several state records that are well within reach.

    State records in CA are something!

    The two things I have going for me is I'm in NM and I'm old. I have a lot of the USAPL state records because of this. But nationally I'm shit.

    Look to the region level. I am looking at all our neighbor states next for benchmarks. Gives me an intermediate goal.

    The CA records certainly are impressive. Fortunately, I recently moved to VA. The VA and MD records are doable. (Not deliberate cheating, as the move was a bit out of my control, but I will admit it's underhanded.)
