How long have you been doing the cardio and stretching? Do you feel it is helpful? I've done a little cardio. By a little, I mean 3 times in 2.5 years.

I have been exercising my whole life. Since weight training, I try to do cardio 2-3x a week. Does it "do" anything? I really don't think so , but I generally feel better on days i do vs days i dont.

Same thing for "stretching" which I also do very little. I like doing light lifts for the stretch and lubricating the old joints. Again I feel generally better when I do these than when I take a complete day off.

Cardio, btw, is unbearably boring. Interval training, say 5-10 intervals goes fast. Lately, however, I just grind out 20-30 minutes while picking fights in E&P.

Nice lifts! How did you hurt your shoulder? Was it specific injury or (mis)use over time?

    Thanks!

Great question because I'm not exactly sure. I probably had been abusing my shoulders most of my life. Right around age 50, i Crashed on my snowboard (someone cut me off and I had to ditch). I remember not being able to raise my arm to the side for a few days. I saw an orthopedic guy - gave me a cortisone shot - said next step is an MRI. It seemed to be slowly getting better and I was able to bench narrow and elbows in. So I never went back. Over many years, with attention to form (on everything) it's never gotten worse. Lessons for me. Pain is not always a show stopper. Good Form >> than big weight.

My knees and shoulders should probably be rebuilt but as long as the weight is going up, I will not consider surgery.

370 single moved fast...looks like plenty left in the tank. What's your 1RM?

375 is my best done at a meet. The single in the video did feel good. Im shooting for 385 for my meet in March. Maybe a little more. Of course I want a 400+ squat, but I am patient.
