So many volumez
But it's a hypertrophy cut! Breaking new ground! Just needs a vaguely architectural name, it'll be the next big hit of the training forum. The Acropolis Method (cause you'll get so chiseled they'll be carving statues of you).
You don't seem to miss anything, do you??? :P
I cut calories by ~300 per day since August 10th or so in the hopes of dialing back the excess fat gain I've had. From May - August, I bumped calories up, but volume wasn't high enough, and it seemed that everything I gained went straight to my stomach (waist measurement increased by an inch). I didn't want to start bumping calories up further, then have my BF end at around 17-18% by time I finished my block, and then spend a longer time than expected getting back down.
I'm quite surprised that I've managed to bump volume up consistently over the past 4 weeks while on a slight deficit. My waist has already dropped by ~0.5" over this time, so I don't think I'll continue this downward trend much longer before I bump calories back up again.
I know, not a popular approach.
LOL!
High volume helps maintain muscle in a deficit and helps build more muscle in a surplus. Basically, high volume all the time, until you die.
LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLl
Isn't this what Mike Israetel does??

are you going to be deloading at all during this 12 week time? 12 weeks is rather long for a volume block especially on a cut i would think
I don't imagine I'll last 12 weeks on this (at least I hope not). I believe the goal is to try and find MRV. I'll keep adding sets every week (as I have been) until I reach a point that I can no longer recover, then deload.

Solid workout this morning. This is probably the toughest day given all the volume squats yesterday. I try to keep rest times to less than 4 minutes on deadlifts, but towards set 5 and 6, I need 5 minutes.
I think that's all for now. I do hope everyone has a fantastic day!
Cheers!

Good workout this morning. I added another set to this mornings squats, because I can't fathom what 6 sets of 8 front squats would be like tomorrow.
I need to figure out another way to add in MOAR volume to my lower body/legs without adding in additional squat sets. I guess I could add in lunges or step ups as an option, but I don't really like either of those that much. I assume this is where a commercial gym would come in handy with the large array of equipment available. C'est la vie.
I think that's all for now though. I do hope everyone has a fantastic day!
Cheers!
