Sup MJ! Nice to hear from you! I'm in week 3 of this madness, and I imagine it'll last for a total of 10-12 weeks. Then I'll switch to a strength phase for another ~12 weeks, and then probably another accumulation block.

    Good morning fellow lifters!

    August 17th, 2017 - Thursday

    AMBW: 140.0lbs

    HB Squat (Beltless) - 180x8x5

    Step Ups - 30x8x3

    CGBP - 150x8x5

    Superset: Arnold Press - 30x10x5 / Seal Rows - 30x12x5

    Dragon Flags
    Barbell Curls

    Instagram

    Notes

Good workout this morning. I dropped a set of HB squats in favour of some dumbbell step ups because I need some variety. I also found that HB squats in flats allowed me to better use my quads compared to heeled shoes. The DB step ups felt good, but were probably slightly too light. Next week I will go heavier.

Last week I thought I was approaching MRV on my chest, but this week I seem fine... so I guess that's not the case... yet.

I think that's all for now. I hope everyone has a fantastic day!

    Cheers!

    Good morning fellow lifters!

    August 18th, 2017 - Friday

    AMBW: 139.6lbs

    Front Squat (Beltless) - 167.5x8x5

    Sumo Deadlift (Beltless) - 235x7x5

    SG RDLs - 190x7x3

Dumbbell Bench Press (FU) - 50x10x3

    D. Incline Press - 40x10x3

    Dumbbell Curls
    Abmat Crunches

    Instagram

    Notes

Week 3 of this volume madness is over... another 7-10 to go... I'm complaining, but training went well. My lower back was smoked after front squats so I had to rest a few more minutes before I could start sumo deadlifts.

I think after next week, I will drop sumo deadlifts and use SGDLs or beltless conventional deadlifts on Fridays. For me, I think conventional deadlifts are the better pull, and from what I've read, sumo apparently has no carryover to conventional.

I was wide awake when I woke up this morning, but after I finished training, I suddenly felt sleepy. Need MOAR coffee I suppose.

I think that's all for now. I do hope everyone has a wonderful day!

    Cheers!

I ran 5.5KM in honour of Manveer's meet. Given his excellent results, I'm confident the run had an impact. Correlation = Causation, right?

    August 21st, 2017 - Monday

    AMBW: 139.6lbs

    LB Squat - 225x8x6

    Comp Bench - 157.5x8x3; 157.5x6; 145x8x2

    Notes

Blah blah blah... I know that I complain a lot, but who else can I complain to? Only you wonderful people that read my log can understand why we do this to ourselves. That being said, it was a good workout. I NEED TO lower the load on my bench. I thought I could get 157.5x8x5 this week, but that didn't happen.

I think that's all for now. I do hope everyone has a fantastic day!

    Cheers!

Mark told me to start putting heavy cream in my protein shakes to get them to around 1000 cals each so I can gain some weight. Just thought I'd share that with you.

    Ayeeeeeee.... 1,000 calorie shakes!

I remember reading an article a while back (maybe on here?) regarding weight gain. This guy asked a strong lifter in his gym how to gain weight, and he took him outside and said, this is what you do. Go get one of the greasiest pizzas possible, loaded with everything, take it home, and pour olive oil over that shit. Then eat the entire pizza as fast as you can so your brain can't tell you that your full. Then do this on a regular basis until you hit your weight.

    I'm desperate for company...

I guess I should be thankful that I'm able to train the way I do. Look on the bright side, Mahendra.

I switched out RDL's for SGRDL's for more upper back work.

I could use a nap right about now.

I do hope everyone has a wonderful day!

    Cheers!

Yeah, that was Dave Tate. I believe he had some, well, a lot, of uh...assistance in eating that way and making the gains leaner than they otherwise would've been.

Ah yes... Interesting. I wonder how many people followed his advice without... assistance.

Good workout this morning despite some DOMs from Tuesdays workout and feeling a bit more tired overall. Everything moved decently well.

    Notes

Great workout this morning, but it was tough. On my last front squat set, I was running out of breath on the last 2 reps. Good cardio :P

I dropped sumo deadlifts and replaced them with conventional deadlifts (beltless) on Fridays. I simply like conventional pulling a lot more. C'est la vie.

Week 4 is now completed - on to week 5. Volume keeps trending upwards.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

    Cheers!

I managed to run 5KM in less than 30 minutes and I'm pretty sure that's a running PR... not that anyone cares anyway

    Notes

Good workout this morning. Subpar nutrition and sleep this weekend, but I managed to push through.

Interestingly, it's my hands and upper back that fatigue on the final set and reps of squats which make it harder than it should be. My legs seem to be able to push through just fine. Same thing with front squats...

I think that's all for now. I do hope everyone has a fantastic day

    Cheers!
