    Couldn't load 56 kg as all the 0.5 kg plates were in use. Since the last go with 55 kg wasn't great I was happy to stick there.

    I felt sick and skipped Monday this week. Planning to train Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, but since the priority is press and back to back squat days are dumb I only did upper body stuff for this Wednesday morning session.

    OK. Training in second gym with no microplates after a slight break so didn't try to increase the weight. They've actually got a 28mm bar with tolerable knurling now, so that's an improvement.

    Elbow / wrist pain.

    Grindy and poor. Dropped weight after 8 singles as I thought I was in danger of failing.

    Knees sore.

    Cautiously trying bench again. This seemed OK at the time but my shoulder was a bit more sore after. I'll try again and monitor closely.

    Took a heavier weight on the paused sets to aid working in with someone. Pauses were short and even so those sets were tough.

    Added belt because my back's been a bit sore recently and I don't want that to bottleneck my shoulder rehab. Elbows got irritated.

    Don't like the pulldown machine in gym #2. Elbow pain.


    Monday 6 November

    Only going to manage 2 sessions this week.

    Added belt for heavy day. +2.5 kg on last week. Tough but good.

    Still unsure how well I'm tolerating this. I think it was better than last time. It seems to feel better when I don't depress my shoulders too aggressively.

    Tough, couldn't get 8 reps. Elbows somewhat better today.
