I've been having some fun in the garage. My 12yo grandson John had finished his first year of 7th grade football and seems interested in training. He did squat 85lbs for 20 reps. He seems to favor going to failure rather than doing a fixed number of reps.

Hi Jerry. Your 12 year old grandson is quite impressive for his age. I wonder where we may have ended if we started at that age. He should do well in future.
Winter is set in here, and it feels cold. Bearing in mind this place has a mediterranean climate, the temperature range is 9-17 degrees centigrade (48-62 F) which seems moderate to what the news says about the U.S.
In the cycle of whole body workouts i have been doing, i do calves once a week and abs once a week. Calves looking best ever, and abs getting all they can handle, so the strategy is working for me.
Nice to see the progress you have been making.
