I don't know if you know of Dr.Ken Leistner, but he was a big proponent of high intensity training.I started following his training method when he wrote in PowerLifting USA.In the mid nineties I was fortunate enough to train his Iron Island Gym. He was big into one set of a lift and no rest between different lifts.He said this built strength. Only when getting ready contest did he drop reps and allow more rest. He said this was to demonstrate strength. Sadly he passed away a few years ago.
