    I snatch and clean as well ... only about 50 though
    Hi Fulcrum. In know you do. And so impressively. You are the only hardcore Olympic Lifter on this site. And train practically daily. I could never do that.
    Raising your deadlift didn't help with your total. That's a pretty normal result. OL'rs have to be careful with the DL, it so trashes the back and interferes with other training. I feel once a fortnight for a 5 RM is about right. You see past OL'rs who never much did any, were still able to hit big numbers.
    I can still train and lift because i baby myself with light phases and low frequency. Given what you are doing at 50 (old for Olympic Lifting), you are going to far exceed my best when the years have rolled by.

    Just this week I looked at my like log book and saw that I'm lifting just about the same weight as I did
    a year ago. For a few minutes I thought to myself, boy what a lot of time I wasted. Then I realized how much weaker I would have gotten if I didn't lift. Not gonna quit!
    Yay Jerry. You are an inspiration.
    Statistics say at our ages we should be losing 2 % of our power every year.
    So if we maintain our level, we are improving at a rate of 2%!
    I'm a greedy little b----r tho. I want more!

    Olympic Dead Lift. (75 k) 5. (90) 5. (115) 5. --- This is the second time i have made this year's target weight and reps, so i am now going to switch to next year's experiment.
    20 rep deadlifts. I expect it will be more grievous than 20 rep squats. never tried this one before, so i will see how it goes for conditioning and strength.

    Snatches. all done with a sink down stretch after the weight is up.

    Hi Jerry. That's about to change. Pee wee weights for twenties, and starting Jan a 3 month light phase. Just wondering, if, just maybe, i could get to 115 for 20 next year ??
