    Greetings Fred. Yes, just because i know what something means does not mean others do. So, JBN = Jerk-Behind-Neck. From press behind neck position, jerk the bar up, catching it in a deep split position.
    Has the potential for handling a lot of weight, but i am just getting the mechanics down as it is a new exercise for me.
    Yeah, i do a lot of reps in deadlifts and squats, which no one recommends for developing power. Well, i'm my own coach, and he says it is good for conditioning and longevity, and it does make you stronger.
    Someone who can hit 20 squats with 300 lbs, is not going to be stopped by 400.
    Glad there's another old duffer here.

    Do you have any contact with the USSF (United Starting Strength Fellowship)? If so have you competed online with them? How was your experience? I keep thinking of online competitions like kissing ones sweeting through a cloth. Not fun.

    Hi Carson. I'm in another country , so can't see it would be possible. Like that they have replaced BP with standing press, even if it's a bit poofy taking it off a rack. The BP has injured countless people, me included.
