    Yesterday was FUBAR on the life side of things. Pushed back to today.

    Deadlift 45x5x2, 135x5, 225x3, 275x2 -all hook grip, 320x5 mix. Technically a 5 rep PR.

    Squat 45x5x2, 135x5, 185x3, 225x2, 255x1, 280x5 @RPE 💩. It wasn’t heavy per se, but every rep felt different from the one preceding it. I may post a form check next week to get some fresh eyes on it.

    Bench 45x5x2, 95x5, 135x3, 165x2, 180x5x5 - not bad at all. volume PR
    Press 100x8x3 - technically a rep PR.
    Lat Pull down 100x12x2

    I had a classic new parent weekend that wasn't a much of a rest at all.

    Deadlift 285x5x2

    Not bad if I do say so myself. I may post the final set of squats later.

    The dial was turned back up today. Tired and this was difficult but doable.

    Press 45x3, 95x3, 140x3x3 - set and rep PR.

    Life stressful Friday Saturday Sunday.

    Still not a bad workout this morning, even if I feel like I’ve been dragged behind several chariots.

    Bench 45x5x2, 95x5, 135x3, 165x2, 182.5x5x5
    Press 102.5x8x3

    Couldn’t talk myself into lat work. First time using wrist wraps (titan max rpm)- there’s a learning curve there but I can definitely see how they will help.

    life stress, awful sleep, woke up late and sick-ish (the kind that isn't enough to warrant a sick day). weight down a few pounds to 192 (from 195), too.

    plan for rest of week:
    Wednesday -
    Squat 285x5, 260x5x4 sets
    Deadlift 325x5, 290x5

    Friday
    Bench work up to 202.5x5
    Press 142.5x3x3
    Chins

    Next week?

    I don't know. What I do know is I am A) having a lot of difficulty making 4 sessions in M-F and B) life stress, lingering whatever is going around, and general blah. The good news is that bench, press, and deadlift have all responded quite well in these last few weeks. We'll see how tomorrow's squats go, but if they are even hanging on that's good enough, right now.

    I need to do some thinking on how to manage the rest of this meet prep.

    * INT. BEDROOM. It is pitch black. The alarm clock reads 0520. Our hero, BRIAN, cracks a wry smile, thinking he has beat the odds by finally getting a decent nights rest. *

    * his illusions of success are quickly spoiled by realizing that his lifting clothes have been moved, the cat is now alerted to his presence, the child has decided that screaming fits are useful and the wife is still asleep. *

    *V.O. Baby screaming*

    Card reads *45 MINUTES LATER*

    *INT. LIVING ROOM
    BRIAN sits on couch buried under cat on lap and baby in left arm, a fresh, delectable cup of joe just out of reach on the table before him. Stupid Brian.*
