A fair workout with my injuries including a torn calf muscle. It really bit my ass doing the 360. I helped 7 people get started today doing squats, deadlifts, and overhead press. They all flipped out when they asked how old I was and I told them. The only other man close to my age was doing power cleans with 65 pounds. He asked me how much weight was on my bar. I told him 360 and he looked bewildered. I think he said he was 58 or 59. I told him the difference between 58 and 72 is like 16 to 45. I can really tell a difference between 65 and 72. Got to keep trying to live.

I thought my calf was healed until I did the 335. It felt good doing squats anyway, 1st time in over a week. Thursday I think I will stick with 315 or lighter.

I unracked 345, walked out, and squatted down about 3 inches. The pain was unbearable, so I reracked it. I either need the gel injections, operation, or just quit lifting. I have so many injuries and only one is lifting related. I used a heavy duty non-stretch wrap called Pro Bull that tore a muscle behind my other knee and the ligament. The knee pain now is from the work I did for 40 years and then just walking in the grass and twisting it. Calling the doctor tomorrow to discuss what can be done. I love doing squats and sure hope something can be done.

Hey friend Jerry. It is heart rending watching you trying to do stuff you are capable of doing were it not for all the injuries you have suffered. A year and a half back i had a medical episode that froze my whole body, at a time i was doing ok given my age and bodyweight.
It was only by dropping down to weights and reps that a grandma would be ashamed of, and working on flexibility and on what didn't hurt much, that i have been ever so slowly, and infinitesimally recovering.
If the docs can't do something for you, you can perhaps do something like it, and over a 'long time passing' get to astound the oldies.
