My legs were still tired and sore from playing kick ball with the grandkids yesterday.

The 325 was a little hard but nice and deep and never stopped moving. Comeback still going strong. Bench tomorrow for first time in months.

Hopefully I will be able to squat 440-455 at the National Championship in October. Thursday I go to the Castle Metroplex and try out the Kabuki deadlift bar they will be using in October.

Yesterday I took my 2 students to the Castle Metroplex in Fort Worth, 25 miles away, after they told me yes, they had a Kabuki deadlift bar we could use. We get there and they have a terrible Texas deadlift bar. Nothing like the kabuki. We need to try one out because the meet in October they use that bar.

The knurling was so bad it was cutting my hands open and I just dropped the bar after 335. Worst bar ever. I'll just use my regular bar until the meet. At least my back is holding out. Come to find out the Kabuki bar is owned by an individual and he had it at a strongman contest. If you own a gym don't tell people you have something people can try when you don't even own it! Damn!

When I woke up I said to myself, I don't feel like doing squats today. My buddy called and all of a sudden it was squat time. I thought I would just do a couple of warmup sets. I did that and then did 2 heavier singles. I guess I felt better than I had thought. A short workout is better than no workout!

Hot and muggy humid in my garage and over 80f. I cut my workout short but still hit my target weight plus 5 pounds. I still believe I will squat 400 by June. Hopefully 440 by October 27th. It isn't an easy comeback but I am very confident now!

Wow, I really surprised myself today. First time doing bench in a few months and to do 200 for me is great. Sure wish they could fix my terrible shoulder, but I'll deal with what I have left. If I can get back over 220 without hurting my shoulder again by October, I'll be stoked! Any extra weight means a better total. I know I can get to 240 but it hurts so bad. I guess I will find out.
