Damn ice! I guess I should have stayed home instead of going on to the gym. Hopefully my back gets a lot better for Tuesdays squats! I need to get better as I have a big meet in May. I hit the ground so hard yesterday I had to readjust my damn hearing aids! Next time we have ice and I go outside I will put on my old steel spiked golf shoes.

Man, it is hard to do any kind of workout with a sore back! It took 20 seconds to lay down on the bench then I was like an old turtle on his back trying to get up. At least I got in a short workout.

It hurt like hell so I gave up and will try another day.

I strained my lower back Friday slipping on ice. Didn't think I would workout but did.

Raining hard, cold, and shoulder really in pain. Oh well, I'll get there one day, again!

Back starting to get better. Knees didn't hurt. I started to do 385 for 2-3 reps but decided to wait until next time. I have until May 20th to get my squat where I need to be.

Okay, okay, I know i am nuts! After my workout I was sitting at the table eating my tuna, egg, and sauerkraut sandwich when my two buddies call. You gonna workout. Already did. Come on and keep us company. So, I did.

1@405 3/4 depth only. My back and knees started crying. Now have to go babysit my grandkids. By 8 pm tonight I will wish I had taken it a little easier today!

Too cold in the garage and both shoulders very sore. I was going to start deadlifts but it is too cold and my back is still sore from falling on the ice.

With the 495 I did like a 1/4 squat. I was going to try 675 but the bar bent so bad with 590 I had to get on my tip toes to unrack the bar. I will wait until the heavy duty squat bar is available. The squat bar weighs 62 pounds and will not bend so much.

Not only my bad shoulder but now both shoulders have bad pain. I guess I will have to get an injection in them.

I tried 365 and when it got about 2 inches off the floor my lower back from the fall on ice said hell no! When healthy I can pull over 450. I guess the doctors were right when they said 3-6 months for the back injury to heal. I was hoping to pull 475 at the meet in May but now will take what I can. I will set a new squat record at the meet.
