Not only my bad shoulder but now both shoulders have bad pain.
I think it was Bill Star who said you can do standing presses to build the BP. If they don't hurt (so much), perhaps they might be an option?

That was my favorite lift but I can't raise my right hand above my shoulders right now. I started Olympic lifting in 1968 In Savannah, GA with Howard Cohen. His son Michael and now his grandson went to the Olympics. I quit Olympic lifting in 1969 when we moved about 30 miles away from the gym.

A little about Howard. Hometown Hero: Howard Cohen

Dang, I could barely get out of bed this morning with my back pain. My right knee, both shoulders, and left hand hurt pretty bad too. I think I might have broke my left thumb! I went out to the garage and I couldn't grip the bar with my left hand and it is swollen pretty well. I slipped and fell again yesterday evening on wet concrete that had moss on it. I was carrying my tomato plants back into the house. I didn't see the patch of green moss. At this rate I might be an ex-powerlifter! I'll feel and get better in the next 2-3 weeks I hope. May 20th is getting closer.

    Missed 395

I was about 1/2 way back up with the 395 and my lower back just gave out. Maybe it will be better by Friday or Saturday. I am going to just rest until then.

I must have some kind of virus or something. Hard to breathe and back is still hurting along with the knees. Cold in my garage too! Maybe Tuesday will be better.

Whatever this is it is crazy. Got up coughing up nasty infection then it turned clear. Feel good for about 30 minutes to an hour. Then feel terrible for an hour or so. Still going to try to do squats Tuesday bench Wednesday and deadlifts Thursday. Will see how it all goes. Went to do bench today but no go. I can't miss any squats sessions if I am to break the National squat record.

Turns out I have another bad sinus/lung infection. Never heard of Cedar Fever until I moved to TX. Now I know a lot about it. It is Juniper and cedar reproduction time and they are in TX Hill Country and the south wind blows it up to north TX.

I did better than I thought after missing almost 2 weeks on bench. My shoulders do not hurt and I will ramp back up slowly until May. I will compete at the May meet at 100 class and Nationals at 110.

Wow, what a night in North Texas! over 81 mph winds and rain at my house and 109 mph winds about 6 miles from me. Trees, utility poles, fences, and other stuff blown over and down. Roofs blown off. Just got power and internet back about 20 minutes ago.
