Has Rip weighed in with his thoughts on Pavel's program? I imagine he has somewhere. I'd be curious to read his thoughts especially about the regular Power to the People program and the Mind Over Muscle program.
My routine is:
No more deadlifts/rack pulls for me on this diet. 0' rest during warmups and 3' rest before heavy sets. Shorter rests build conditioning/work capacity. Conditioning is sort of an ancillary benefit from the high freq training for me. I may go to 6 days a week on this, maybe a light day on Saturday. We'll see.Code:Mon-Fri Bench 1x5 Squat 1x5 Press 1x5 Clean 2x3 Chin 1xF
re: Weight/fat loss
I walk one hour/day, started this like 10 days ago. I will add in more conditioning, but I don't want to change too much at once when I'm just starting a new lifting prog.
Size 44->42 in 5 weeks at calorie intake of ~11 cal/lb/day.
I am at 9-10 cal/lb right now and will probably stay there awhile.
I post lifting videos for my brutally honest best friend to monitor my progress as an outside observer.

I don't see a response from Rip either. I imagine my response moved the old post up in his moderation tool but that he wasn't interested in discussing the topic.
Are there still any Pavel fans out there?

I was up until last year or so, a big fan of Pavel. All the things that his programs promised, Starting Strength delivered on after a few months, vs the five years I spent spinning my wheels with Kettlebell and Strong First approved workouts. I've since put my kbells and collection of his books up for sale
