Pulled a 495# deadlift last night! One of my goals for 2014.

Look relatively easy, aside from right at the knees. Nice lift.

    Now go pull 500.

Anyway, it doesn't make sense to compare a bodyweight multiplier and a specific number. I can squat >5 plates, but a 3.4x bodyweight pull would be huge for me.
I was on course for 440 in July, and possibly 500 for a single late October. One fucking mistake set me back by possibly, a full year. I am incredibly frustrated. Fuck.

Thanks, guys. Next time I go for a big single pull it will be 500+. Maybe 515 so I can have all my big plates on (I have a pair of 55s).

Monday I set a new deadlift PR at 525 lbs and then yesterday I unexpectedly hit a new squat PR of 405 lbs. Even the 385 lbs rep before was a new PR, but it went up so smoothly I just had to go for the 4th plate. It was slow and a big grind, but it went back up eventually. Now to get my bench to 315 so I can complete my goal for the year of 3 plate - 4 plate - 5 plate!

I weigh 160 and I still have (faint) abs. Pretty happy with that. Bad news is my wrist was injured by an overzealous jiu jitsu training partner last night. While I'm pretty sure I can squat with one bad wing, presses are almost definitely out of the question and deadlifts are less than probable, although I'm going to be dumb and find out about both the hard way.

That's pretty good, you're really cruising on the weight. Took me 11 weeks to go from 153 to 170, at 5000 calories/day. Pretty sure I lost the abs somewhere around 155.

Yeah, I am a leaner 160 than I've ever been, so I must have put on some non-adipose mass so far. Which is good, since I've increased my jiu jitsu mat time, and that always tends to make it hard to gain weight. Shout out to George Washington Carver and dairy cows.
