    No, I've never thought it useful to include deadweight like that in the equation when talking about lifting ratios.

    Grats on the PR! Luckily I haven't been sick in the last 9 months of training, so I don't have much advise on that. I would take it easy and not go to the gym if I had the flu. I wouldn't want to spread it around.

    Yes. In which case, they obviously matter. For deadlift, no so much.

    So in meets a girls wilks co-efficient should, according to you, be different for deadlift/squat and bench?

    No, because there are practicality concerns, which is why we don't ignore it. We also can't adjust for things like boob size.

    Luckily, on here, practicality is not a concern.

    This is why I don't include the wieght of my belly when I calculate my ratios.

    yea i'll probably stop including any fecal matter i might have in my colon, as well as any urine that might be waiting in my bladder

    i guess i could disregard my dick and nuts weight, but that's pretty negligible, really

    oh and my head, because it doesn't do a damn thing to help me lift weight
