Hey guys!
I just recently started working out with a strongman team, and I was wondering how to best set up the sport specific training around continuing to push squats, deads and presses.
I know for sure there will be strongman training every Sunday. Should I do 1 day of Strongman and 3 of strength training? I'm currently following a pretty straight HLM setup on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I'd probably make that something like this:
Sunday: Strongman Monday: Light day Wednesday: Medium Friday: Heavy
Or would 2 days of Strongman and 2 days of strength training be better?
Sunday: Strongman Monday: Light/medium(?) Wednesday: Strongman Friday: Heavy
Anyone with any thoughts or experiences would be very welcome to chime in.

Yeah, I think they're really only doing 1 day a week of serious event specific work, and the rest seems to be squatting, deadlifting and overhead pressing in some variation or other. I'll try to work with them as much as I can, but as a template I'll pick what Cody outlined:

Friday- heavy
Sunday- strongman
I did a medium-ish day today, since I'm pretty beat up from strongman event work yesterday. I imagine I won't be as sore as I am today every Monday, so a medium day should fit the bill pretty well.
