    Hi Andy,

Any chance you could help me in the right direction for programming?

I've always just gone to the gym and exercised, and had a great time. I want to start training now.

I'm 205 pounds and I don't use straps or belts or nothing.

My 1 Rep Max for my lifts with enough rest are:
255 bench - but I can only squeeze out one set of 3x225.
140 Press - I probably train this the least out of the three
315 Squat - I can do one set of 250x5ish
    455 deadlift

I downloaded the Starting Strength App and thought I'd start on that with much lower weights and work into it all, do you think that's a good idea? I normally used to to 1 big exercise a workout and workout 6-7 days a week and I really enjoyed that. I've gotten to the point where some weeks I can hit around those numbers no problem and other weeks/same week I much weaker.

Sorry for the rant just thought I would give a bit of a background. Thanks for reading this far down!

Start with the regular programming and see what happens. It'll work for a while, but you'll probably stall out sooner than a guy that is a rank novice. You'll probably get some good initial growth right off the bat due to the high squatting frequency too.

Sooner rather than later though, you'll have to switch to intermediate level programming
