HLM Clarification

I apologize if this has been asked a million times and I've missed it.
On page 164 of PPSTV3, you show a table for HLM.
I'm not quite following if the nomenclature is always weight x sets x reps, or weight x reps by sets, or if it goes back and forth.
For example, on week 10, it seems to call for one set of five (squats) on Monday and five sets of one on Friday (Friday).
The "Note:" paragraph that follows the table also confuses me, as it seems to list heavy day as (eventually) 5x3 when the table calls for 3x5.

300 x 5 x 3 would read 300 for 5 reps for 3 sets. I don't have the book with me at the moment so I'm not sure if there is a printing error or not. If so, you'd have to bring to the attention of Aasgaard to get it corrected in future printings. I don't have anything to do with that.
