    Brent,

Last night I hit 300 3x5 on my LP squat. The last two sets were absolutely brutal. Would a good choice be to continue pushing my top set of 5 by 5 lbs and do a 10% backoff for my other sets? Or would it be better to reset entirely and build back up? Thanks for the help.

Also, are you taking a lighter day midweek?

Go ahead and start with that. Take 275x5x3 on your light day and call me in the morning.

Thanks for the help Brent. Last week I used the lighter day and both my Day 1 and Day 3 squat workouts went great.

When I got to the point what particularly helped me was switching to a one day on, two day off cycle. Didn't require me to add a light day. Either option works though, whichever works better for you.

Might work for a while if your schedule allows for you to be very flexible on your training days. For most having fixed days makes them more compliant. In any case at some point neither strategy will continue to work and more stress will be needed to continue to drive the progress.
