Consider a switch to Strength Lifting meets and go for a 200 lb press versus a 250 bench.
Strength Lifting meets are similar to power lifting meets but with a Press instead of Bench.

The press is use to rehab shoulders, something I am unfortunately have some experience with.
The press is superior to the bench because the kinetic chain goes all the way to the ground, not from your hands to your back.
If I were to drop a lift, it would be the bench, not the press.

Rip says you should do a Press workout for every bench workout.

I consider the press preventative medicine for shoulder injuries.
