New guy to the forum here, starting the program soon.
32, 6'2" 190 lbs. A little over 3000 cals a day, but I need to up that. I have been skinny and weak my entire life (spent most of high school under 150 at the same height).

    1RM #'s
135 lb. Bench, 215 lb. BS, 285 lb. DL (Yes...I agree, those numbers suck).

Did CrossFit for a year and a half, and in the last 7 months switched to powerlifting at the same CF Gym. I like the people, love the facility, and I really like my coach technique wise but I believe that I am wasting my time a bit because I never lift much because the 1RM numbers are so low and those numbers determine the lift numbers for the week, and the coach has quite the obsession with accessories. Currently we squat on monday, bench tuesday, Deadlift wednesday, and then it is something like a front squat on Friday with lots of accessory work every workout.

I have looked for an answer in SS, PP, and the forums for this question, so I apologize if I missed it somewhere.

With my 1RM numbers so low, where do I begin the program in regards to weight for the work sets of 5. I am not scared of backing down a lot and taking the time to develop, I just don't want to screw up.

My thoughts would be to start at 85 for the bench, 145 backsquat, 185 deadlift. Do those kind of numbers match up with other people, or is it just highly variable and I am just asking a question with no good answer?
