You may need to rest a tad longer b/w work sets sometimes, but go for it. Saves me a ton of time.
I am trying to figure out if I should or should not be warming up the second lift during the rest in a 4 day split. I have switched from a 3 day program to a 4 day upper/lower split to save time in the mornings. During the 3 day program I would warm up the press/bench during the squat rest time and then deadlift/pclean during the upper body rest time. This was a recommendation I heard from Matt Reynold’s podcast to save time.
Now that I do complimentary exercises back to back, will a warm up during the rest time interfere with the work set? Example, on a press heavy/bench volume day is warming up the bench during the press rest a bad idea?

I’m usually resting 4 minutes between work sets.
