I'm doing the NLP, but I press every workout.

Wednesday, I pressed 165 for 5. Today (Friday) I jumped to 170 and only mustered 2 (did 3 doubles).

Whats the next move? Keep the weight going up, maybe 2 or 3lbs (I have fractional plates) and keep hitting 5 reps with a few backoff sets, OR, re-attempt 170 and aim for more reps per set?

This is probably the time I texas method the press

Yes, the first three questions, but also you aren't doing the program. 5lb jumps don't last long and the BP is a key player to help build the PR.

FWIW, I added 3lbs and got 2 triples. Keeping the weight moving up.
