If you're truly an intermediate, you probably need to adjust for the lack of stress from the squats, but I would ask you "Why aren't you squatting?"
Is the stress provided by the 1x5 once per week enough to get better at deadlift (i.e. lift more weight) WITHOUT squatting three times per week? Or are the 3x per week squats providing stress in such a manner that 1x5 is all that is needed to drive the DL up?
I.e.: regardless if you are doing the NLP or is in the intermediate phase (with lets say a 2 time per week heavy/light squat routine), 1x5 once per week is enough for the DL? Or do you need to add volume to adjust for less squatting?
