    Hello,

I’ve been decently progressing on my bench but I am at a sticking point that kinda puzzles me. I split up my week with 2 heavy and 1 light days. On my light days I can bench 225# for 20 reps and 245# for 15 reps. But when I try to hit it heavier, I can only do 300# for 5 reps and 320# for 2 reps. I feel like I should be hitting heavier on my 5 and 2 reps, comparing to what I’m doing on my lighter days. Any suggestions to help increase my heavy days would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

A modified version of your program. I find it hard to bench and squat in the same workout.

    Sunday-Bench 3x5, Dip 3x5
    Monday- Squat 3x5, Row 3x5
    Tuesday- Bench 3x15, Press 3x5
    Wednesday- Squat 3x5, Deadlift 1x5
    Thursday- Bench 3x5, Dip 3x5
    Friday- Squat 3x5, Row 3x5
    Saturday- Rest

If you modify it, it's not my program.

Yes, It is not your exact program because I modified it. Your program was the inspiration of my concoction. It was meant to accommodate certain personal aspects and not to disrespect you.

People disrespect me all the time, and I'm used to that. But my program works, and yours doesn't. I suggest that you do my program.
