TM volume day Q
When volume day starts taking too long, is the next best move to break up the session into 2 days?
Ie:
monday - volume squat
tuesday - volume bench
wednesday - recovery (light squat, press, chins)
Friday - Intensity squat, bench, deadlifts
Or would one want to do the 4 day split? The reason I like doing at least one day of SBD is to stay in meet shape.
Any suggestions? Does anyone have experience adjusting their TM like this? I need to plan ahead

You could set up a 4 day Texas method:
Monday - Intensity Bench, Volume Press
Tuesday - Intensity Squat, Volume Deadlift
Thursday - Intensity Press, Volume Bench
Friday - Intensity Deadlift, Volume Squat
EG
Monday
Bench 1x5 or 2x3
Strict Press 5x5
Close grip bench 3x10
Tuesday
Squat 1x5
Stiff Leg DL 2x5-8
Power Clean or Snatch 4x2
Thursday
Press 5-8 singles
Bench 5x5
Dips 3x10
Friday
Rack Pull 1x5 / Halting 1x8 / Deadlift 1x5 (alternate weekly)
Squat 5x5
Chin-up 3x5
