I have a very tall client who is getting close to the point where he will need to introduce pin presses.

However he is too tall and has a very long wingspan which means that he cannot pin press inside his rack without hitting the upper structure before he locks out. He lives in rural Quebec and lifts out of his garage, so a commercial gym is not an option.

Does anyone have any recommendations for what a decent replacement for a pin press would be for him? I'm leaning towards a z-press where he would sit on the ground with his legs straight and then pin press.

    Thanks

Does the rack have a floor? If not, can he raise the rack by setting it on blocks? Get some wood or cinder blocks and shim the floor under the rack.

Not a cheap option, but is his rack a brand that has spotter arms available that can attach on the front?

Just have him invest in a set of spotter arms that hang outside the rack.

I'll get him to do that, thanks.

Put the j-hooks/pins on the outside of the rack.
